How to tighten chain of chain saw

Chain saws, also known as chain saws, are portable saws powered by gasoline engines. They are mainly used for logging and wood making. Their working principle is to cut by the transverse movement of the interlaced L-shaped blades on the saw chain. Chain saws are generally divided into motorized chain saws, non motorized chain saws, etc.

How to tighten chain of chain saw
1. The chain adjusting screw is behind the rotating shaft of the driving machine of the chain saw. There is an adjusting screw between the chain and the bearing. The screw driver is used to tighten it clockwise and loosen it anticlockwise.
2. While adjusting the tension screw, check the tightness of the chain. When the chain is hung on the lower part of the guide plate, the chain can be pulled by hand.
3. After adjusting and loosening the chain tension screw, tighten and fix the two fixing screws to prevent the chain tension screw from loosening.

Matters needing attention
1. Always check the tension of the saw chain. When checking and adjusting, please turn off the engine and wear protective gloves. When the chain is hung on the lower part of the guide plate, the chain can be pulled by hand.
2. There must always be a little oil spilling on the chain. Check the chain lubrication and oil level of lubricating oil tank before working every time. The chain can't work without lubrication. If it works with dry chain, the cutting device will be damaged. Never use old oil. The old oil can not meet the lubrication requirements and is not suitable for chain lubrication.
3. If the oil level in the tank does not decrease, there may be a problem with the lubrication delivery. Check the chain lubrication and oil circuit. Passing through the contaminated screen can also cause a poor supply of lubricating oil. The lubricating oil strainer in the connecting pipeline between the oil tank and the pump shall be cleaned or replaced.
4. After replacing and installing a new chain, the saw chain needs 2 to 3 minutes of running in time. Check the chain tension after running in and readjust if necessary. The new chain needs to be tensioned more often than the chain that has been used for a while. In the cold state, the saw chain must stick to the lower part of the guide plate, but it can move the saw chain on the upper guide plate by hand. If necessary, tension the chain again.
5. When the working temperature is reached, the saw chain expands and sags slightly, and the transmission joint at the lower part of the guide plate cannot be detached from the chain slot, otherwise the chain will jump from the slot, and the chain needs to be re tensioned. The chain must be relaxed after work. The chain shrinks when it cools, and a chain that is not loosened can damage the crankshaft and bearings. If the chain is tensioned in the working state, the chain will shrink when it cools down, and the chain will damage the crankshaft and bearing if it is too tight.
